antichrists???

1 John 2:18 Little children, it is the last hour; and as you have heard that the Antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come, by which we know that it is the last hour.


These are the last days. There are many antichrists that have come. The antichrist is soon to display himself, but only in the time appointed. Anti means against however the meaning here is also instead of. Now, in light of that, there are many chosen instead of Jesus. Not in opposition necessarily, but taking the glory from the LORD and placed upon themselves. They may even talk about Jesus, but never point others to Him.
