Be doers not just hearers.

Matthee 7:21 Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.

22 Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’

23 And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’

This has always been an intriguing passage to me. There are those who do all these great things in Jesus' name but dont have a personal relationship with Him. Our walk isnt about knowing Jesus by hearing but rather knowing Jesus thru doing His word or experiencing it ourselves. I have, unfortunately, with my very eyes, witnessed great teachers of Gods word, do many great things in the kingdom, just end up walking away from the love & grace of Jesus. Im not sure whether they truly knew Him or not. Thats between them and God. I would say at the time they did know Jesus but maybe deception crept in. This passage to me, is a personal warning to keep it real between Jesus and I. I want to be so close, I hear His heart beat.
