Behold the Man

John 19:5 Then Jesus came out, wearing the crown of thorns and the purple robe. And Pilate said to them, “Behold the Man!”


How does one allow such mockery, such disrespect, such a lack of leadership, as Pilate, yet have a glimmer of truth in seeing Jesus as The Man? What Pilate witnessed in Jesus was not normal. Pilate could not understand how Jesus could withstand such ridicule, such beatings and still stand? Pilates wife warned him about Jesus. Everything this day was abnormal which should have spoke volumes. Pilate was insecure in making a decision on Jesus. Everyone must make a decision on Jesus. My decision is He is God, He is my Savior, He is Creator. Behold the Man!
