Birth until death

1 John 5:6 This is He who came by water and blood—Jesus Christ; not only by water, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit who bears witness, because the Spirit is truth.

Jesus was born, came into this world (by water). Yet Jesus also would die, His blood spilled for me. Not sure we can nail down the meaning of this verse but this is definately true of Him. So, if this is correct, Jesus' birth, until His crucifixion testified of who He is. All of Jesus is critical in knowing Him. Every point of His becoming a man, has deep truths I need to understand. Not just the point of the cross, but the amazing humility that my all powerful God allowed by being born a baby and growing up among men. Some, called the gnostics, believed Jesus was this phantom ghost. That God could never dwell among sinful men, could never die a death. Its with this thought and mindset, John counters this heresy. He was born and He died for me, for us, for all who would accept Him
