Born again characteristics

1 John 3:9 Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God.


Our spiritual birth is miraculous in many ways. It breaks our bondage to the practicing lifestyles of sin. An unregenerate, unsaved person may be disciplined to stop one sin only to be enslaved to others. We, through the Spirit in us, break all bondage, or as much as we give over to Him. It isnt saying we lose our capacity to sin but that as long as we are under His LORDSHIP, we will not sin. He never leads us to sin. We are drawn to sin by our own lusts. Its inconsistent for a born again believer to remain in the practice of sin yet say I have a relationship with God. Proof is in our fruit, in our actions, in what we practice.
