Dangers of changing Gods word

Genesis 3:1 Now the serpent was more cunning than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said to the woman, “Has God indeed said, ‘You shall not eat of every tree of the garden’?”

Satan is represented here as a serpent. He was the most cunning of creatures. He goes after the woman, the weaker vessel. He is not ignorant, though he deals shrewdly. He then poses a subtle question, did God really say this? Not to eat from every tree in this garden? Truth was, God said she could eat from every tree EXCEPT from the tree of the knowledge of good & evil. The way he phrased the question was deceiving. Where was Adam, her protector? Where was the one who was to water her in Gods word? I have noticed thru the years of my christian, that satan still uses this play. He runs it more than the Packers ran the green bay sweep. I want to get better in this area, to consistantly spend time in Gods word with my wife. To avoid these backdoor attacks and draw closer to the LORD as a couple.
