Dont be troubled at Jesus' coming!

Matthew 2:1 Now after Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, wise men from the East came to Jerusalem,

2 saying, “Where is He who has been born King of the Jews? For we have seen His star in the East and have come to worship Him.”

3 When Herod the king heard this, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him.

Some are very excited at the thought that King Jesus is on the scene. Others, like herod here, are not so happy. They feel threatened or even convicted at the revealing of Jesus. Herod made it rough on the citizens because of his insecurities. It amazes me how men from the pagan country to the east, believed in the scriptures, spoken thru Daniel and such, had great love and respect for Jesus' coming. When many who had the scriptures daily and lived close, took Him for granted. May the LORD make Himself familiar to us but not so much we dont honor even the thought of Him in our midst.
