Establish my steps oh Lord

Psalm 17:5 Uphold my steps in Your paths, That my footsteps may not slip.

David asks God to uphold his steps in His paths. If not, he will slip from them. I have found this to be an ever present reality. If not for the Lord, and my willingness to allow Him to direct my steps, I will fall. We cant walk righteously apart from Him. He is our righteousness. David knew the difference between walking after the Lord and after his own ways. What a great mistake he made staying out of the fight and looking upon Bathsheba. Our greatest victories is when we walk in the Lords paths.
