Eternal or tempral?

1 John 2:17 And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever.

God has created us to be eternal beings. Problem is, we live in a tempral world, full of tempral things. We major in the minors and well, skip the majors all together. Fact, the world, its systems, its ways, its lustful enticements are coming to a close. If we jump on into this world, all chips in, we will be in for a major crash with eternal repercussions. He who does the will of the Father will live forever. What is His will you may ask? To receive His only Son Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour. Not one or the other but both. I place all my metaphoric eggs into His basket. The world behind me, the cross before me, no turning back.
