Even the greatest have doubts. Take them to Jesus

Matthew 11:2 And when John had heard in prison about the works of Christ, he sent two of his disciples

3 and said to Him, “Are You the Coming One, or do we look for another?”

John is now in jail. A very challenging time as regards to his understandings of God. There wasnt a greater prophet than John yet his life would be taken unjustly. His questions theologically are no different than ours thru difficult trials. I hear you are doing the works of the promised messiah, I believe You are He, but did I miss something? Why am I going thru this unjust trial? I thought you would be our victorious king. Am I to look for another? Ive been here as John. Intellectually I know You are God, but why am I going thru this? I have found, He is going thru my pain with me.
