I really believe life can be difficult enough even after giving oneself over to Jesus. However, Paul learned by experience, that the Lord will deliver. Notice how He delivers, Through the cooperative prayers of the saints, inspired by the Lord, and the Holy Spirits unlimited supply of resources. Paul needed his family as well as the Spirit. He works through His church collectively as a whole. There is an overwhelming feeling of comfort as well when your afflictions are battled together with brothers and sisters. Its not if He delivers, its when He delivers.
