Follow the Lord

1 Thessalonians 2:14 For you, brethren, became imitators of the churches of God which are in Judea in Christ Jesus.

These once idol worshippers became imitators of Gods influence in the church. Imitator means follower. We are to follow Christ by being united in His body, the church. For one to say they follow Christ yet do nothing with His church, well in my opinion, is deceived! As imperfect as we all are, Gods mighty power is made evident through our weaknesses and humility. As this church followed Paul & company, they were actually fully following Christ. For Jesus never seeks to disassociate Himself from His body. What great priveldge we've been given through the church. If we look enough, you will find not one person possessing all Gods character traits but that all whom make up the body reflect His light in unique ways. You seek to follow God, dont forsake His church.
