Davids contrast is his delight in the LORD vs his enemies love for the tempral delicacies of this world. The LORD gives us peace, rest, & security. This, all the while in the thick of the enemies attacks. Saul, being hot and heavy against him. Why fear or worry, since the LORD has you? He fights the battles, which isnt even a fight. The demons know Him and dare not disobey His every command, while we rest. There is nothing the enemy can do to us while in our Fathers care.
