God doesnt need our help!

Genesis 16:1 Now Sarai, Abram’s wife, had borne him no children. And she had an Egyptian maidservant whose name was Hagar. 2 So Sarai said to Abram, “See now, the LORD has restrained me from bearing children. Please, go in to my maid; perhaps I shall obtain children by her.” And Abram heeded the voice of Sarai. 3 Then Sarai, Abram’s wife, took Hagar her maid, the Egyptian, and gave her to her husband Abram to be his wife, after Abram had dwelt ten years in the land of Canaan.

Now, I must start this with, Im no better than Abram or Sarai. I havent done this, but I have tried to help nudge Gods promises ever closer, to a frustratingly unsuccessful end. They have waited 11 yrs. Maybe they are overlooking the obvious right? Sarai, reality has not only sit in, its become a firm foundation, she cant have children! Sure God left out a key part, Hagar. Its still our child. But God was specific, thru Sarai! Our minds are the battleground. Abram errored in that he submitted to his wife. The marriage is to be a team yet the husband must love his wife enough to lead, even if its difficult to do so. He didnt have to give in so easily and take Hagar. He needed to wash his wife in the word of God. This huge mistake is still costing Israel as the descendants of Ishmael continue to fight the descendants of Isaac. Just recieve His promises and enjoy them, not force them to be!
