Gods logic vs mens

Matthew 3:1 In those days John the Baptist came preaching in the wilderness of Judea,


I find this interesting. John was led by the Spirit to preach repentance and the kingdom of God where? Wilderness? Not a very logical spot for a message where people are absolutely critical to hear. Or was it? He didnt hi-jack a previous ministry. He started a fresh work nobody else was doing. And God knows best, the people were drawn to the message. They came from all over, to the undesirable wilderness. Only the Holy Spirit can do this. Mens logic, and I must confess, I have fell prey to this thinking. To go where you can reach the most people per square foot. Lol. However, His ways are higher than our ways. Even if its for one person, would you go? I say yes!
