Hard or easy way?

Matthew 27:39 And those who passed by blasphemed Him, wagging their heads

40 and saying, “You who destroy the temple and build it in three days, save Yourself! If You are the Son of God, come down from the cross.”

Mocking, ridicule, blasphamy! Jesus endured these things and more from those accusing Him of such. But save Yourself! Jesus could have easily saved Himself. That wasnt His mission. The Fathers mission was to save humanity, in which He loves dearly. I learn from this, the path of righteousness, is never self preservation. I learn that something, better yet, someone must die to self in order for life to come forth. A seed dies in order to make a living mighty oak! I, against my carnal desires, must crucify this flesh daily, in order for Gods Spirit to be mighty in me. Others that have been placed in my sphere of influence, and even those I yet to know about, depends on it. The flesh screams, GET DOWN OFF THAT CROSS JON! It would appear to be an easier path yet that judgment choice ends fatally. This side of heaven, I dont expect life to ever get easier, and everyday that may be, is a rare delight, but I can say, Gods power thru this walk is amazing. The fellowship of His presence, priceless. Shall we pick up our cross daily, dont drop it, embrace it! Jesus is coming quickly and with a reward. LORD, help me to pick up this cross today.
