He called us why?

2 Thessalonians 2:14 to which He called you by our gospel, for the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ

God calls us to bring Him glory. That is our primary function. Since God created us, He alone has full rights to say what our purpose is. Its always best to use something as the manufacturer intented. This is called the "manufacturers recommendations." My older brother bought this motorized bike, the highest rating that he didnt need a license. Its top speed, 45 mph. Content? Nope, he gets a bigger motor and fastened it to the frame. My youngest brother then tries it out. He got up to speeds over 80 mph, on this lighter framed bike, not rated by the designer, to travel near those speeds. It literally broke apart and my brother was heading for disaster. Either hit a truck head on or slide on pavement, or hit the bridge. He slid without any protection but the Lord. He did a stupid thing by not going by the designers proven recommendations. It could have cost him his life. Our lives are no different than my brothers example. Keeping the glory leads us to utter disaster. Give Him glory in all you do. That is why youve been created!
