Phil 2:22 But you know his proven character, that as a son with his father he served with me in the gospel.

Timothy is an amazing guy. He was young, dependable, an others centered guy, but what makes him amazing, he loved Jesus and it showed. The world needs more like-minded as Timothy. Allowing Jesus to shine in you as you receive His goodness. He had a proven, tested, sure character about him. Jesus was his life. I can say that also, Jesus is my life. In order to prove something, you must be tested! I once heard that a pastor that has not been tested cant be trusted. I suppose thats true. But a faith untested cant be trusted. Timothy was tested and proved His devotion to Christ was genuine. We also, have many opportunities to do the same in how we spend time with the Lord, how we put the Lord 1st in our lives, how we treat others. This life isnt about what you know but how you use what you know for Gods glory. If one was to examine your life, would they see Jesus? In Timothy you could! Its the Lord who produces fruit in us as we abide in Him. I so deperately want my life to shine bright for Christ.
