How long was Jesus on your mind before you responded?

Matthew 4:18 And Jesus, walking by the Sea of Galilee, saw two brothers, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea; for they were fishermen.

19 Then He said to them, “Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.”

20 They immediately left their nets and followed Him.

Do you remember what you was doing when Jesus called you to follow Him? You, maybe like peter & the gang, was living life without God. Jesus called them to follow Him. Immediately, they respond. Now, before you think, who does this, You must understand that they have already witnessed Jesus' life giving ministry about a year by now. They pondered Jesus in their hearts and I suggest, it was time to commit. They wanted Jesus and Jesus confirmed their desire as He called them out. We are always to count the cost of following Jesus. We dont want weak confessions just to increase our numbers. That does nobody any good. We use the mind God gives us to make a logical decision to follow Him and He will give us a new heart to replace that old stoney one. This passage was a great encouragement to me stepping out and coming to Mississippi.
