I've never committed adultery, or have I?

Matthew 5:27 “You have heard that it was said to those of old, You shall not commit adultery.

28“But I say to you that whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.

Yikes! Jesus, are you serious? Man is proud of the fact that they never done the physical act. Others fall, but not I, we say! Yet, Jesus raises the bar tramendously here. I am, all men are, adulterers, going by this measure. That means, I need Jesus' forgiveness. God simple knows, sin starts in the heart. Just because one lacks opportunity, doesnt mean he would'nt do this, if he could. The Spirit of God can and does empower us to rise above lust. He even promises an escape option (1 cor. 10:13). By the way, studies indicate that women also struggle with lust. All humanity is fallen.
