I would never???

Acts 7:40 ...Make us gods to go before us; as for this Moses who brought us out of the land of Egypt, we do not know what has become of him. 41 And they made a calf in those days, offered sacrifices to the idol, and rejoiced in the works of their own hands. 42 Then God turned and gave them up to worship the host of heaven...

The Israelites demanded this from Aaron! Men, we are so fickle! Just experienced the greatest deliverance to date, now this! Lord, I pray, I never go back and desire to form a god, calf, or any idol, thats not You! An idol has to be formed and made with mens hands! Let that sink in. Men form who they think, limited minds, what god is to be. Flawed! God tells man who He is and reveals how we are to worship Him. Make no mistake about it, when these idols are made, there is zero joy, for only God gives us Joy! They worshipped, sang, danced, had smiles and laughs but inside they died! Empty cisterns! As Romans 1 teaches us, God gave them over to worship the creation rather than the Creator. Christians in name today say they would never do what Israel did, but what they often worship are the same things. If Jesus isnt our audience, our only focus, our only devotion, we will be in this same cess pool! Lord, help me to never put anyone or anything upon the throne that belongs to You alone!
