Is Jesus in your church?

1 Thessalonians 1:1 Paul, Silvanus, and Timothy,

To the church of the Thessalonians in God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ:

There are thousands of churches today. More flavors than baskin robins. At this time however, some cities had no churches and a few had a church. The impact of the gospel message is weighty. Fellowship among the believers is a premium advantage. According to Hebrews, we arnt to forsake the gathering together as is the manner of some. Today, fellowship is still much needed yet is harder & more rare to find, unfortunately. I must ask why? Well, the obvious! MOST churches dont have the 2nd part of this verse, being in God the Father and in the Lord Jesus Christ. Sadly the fact is, Jesus isnt, not present in their churches, He is not invited or kicked out of them! I dont paint every church denomination with a broad brush. Jesus must be the head of His church. The church must be born again by Gods Spirit. This church, though young, was the real deal! They exhibited Christ and it showed. God called me, not to be the head, thats His job, to lead by example after the Good Shepherd & point all to Jesus! Its my desire, above anything else, that the Lord is in our fellowship everytime we meet. Anything less, well, would be utter catastraphy. I cant reverse the past for you if youve been wounded by a carnal church, I cant fix those who abuse their authority, but I can keep my focus on Jesus, lead the best I can how the Lord designed the church to operate, and I can allow the Lord to heal all your wounds in a safe environment known as the church. The Lord is in the house folks!
