Israel Day 5 (Jerusalem began)

Matthew 26:39 He went a little farther and fell on His face, and prayed, saying, “O My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as You will.

40 Then He came to the disciples and found them sleeping, and said to Peter, “What! Could you not watch with Me one hour? 41 Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.”

There was no other way to heaven. If heaven could be attained any other way, this would be the time to say! Jesus sweat great drops of blood due to the agony & pain of what was ahead. The 1st and only break in fellowship with the Father due to us! Such love. Now, if we are to pickup our cross and follow Him, we must be awakened and praying!

What a day! We made our journey up to Jerusalem, where we will remain the duration of our time. We experienced the Triumphal entry route and more. Began on the Mt of Olives, then to the garden of Gethsemane, an emotional place, and a privilege to do the devotion here! Then off to the spot of Jesus' birth, Bethlehem. The only place on earth, God was born! We touched the very spot in the cave.
