Jesus' compassion for us

Matthew 9:36 But when He saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion for them, because they were weary and scattered, like sheep having no shepherd.

Jesus sees what others cannot. Living lives apart from Him, these are the characteristics. We were tired, going in all directions, without a shepherd. But, and then, Jesus moved with compassion, the deepest feelings of love, upon us. Jesus gathers when men scatter. Often, we dont even realize we have drifted so far. Over time, that minor drift becomes a huge gap. Thank you LORD for eliminating that gap. We are now closer than brothers.
