Jesus has power over sin.

Matthew 8:3b Immediately his leprosy was cleansed.

4 And Jesus said to him, “See that you tell no one; but go your way, show yourself to the priest, and offer the gift that Moses commanded, as a testimony to them."

Gods work is immediate here. Leprosy was a death sentence and hell on earth. Leprosy is a surreal picture of sin in mens life. Only Jesus can totally eradicate sin in us and break the chains of death. Jesus proved His power to forgive sin when He healed this man. A work like this, was rare. Jesus told him to present himself to the priests as the law said to do. Jesus was going to make a more impactful message toward those who should have believed Gods word and the amazing healing this was. As ministers of Gods holy word, we must ever be sensitive to the word of God and when we see it right before us. All those priests should have repented and shouted with joy that their messiah is alive in their day. I wont let no rock out praise me!
