Jesus' opening message

18“The Spirit of the LORD is upon Me, Because He has anointed Me To preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted To proclaim liberty to the captives And recovery of sight to the blind, To set at liberty those who are oppressed;

19To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD.

This summed up His full purpose to come. He was filled with the Spirit in order to do these things. If Jesus needed the Spirit, how much more do we need Gods Spirit? All humanity can relate to one of these catagories. It gets better, He then is the only one that can proclaim Gods acceptance upon a fallen humanity. All generations prior lead to this event, His first coming. Where He stops reading will speak of His second coming.
