Jesus was given for us

Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

7 Of the increase of His government and peace There will be no end, Upon the throne of David and over His kingdom, To order it and establish it with judgment and justice From that time forward, even forever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.


Unto us. Not them or an elite group but all of us common folks. A as in one Son, Jesus. He is Ruler over all the world and will one day make firm that authority. He has many titles. He can make as well as end wars by His mighty power but He also is alone in His ability to calm and make true peace. The best the world has to offer is a false peace, usually including being heavily medicated or supressed to achieve that even. His peace is sound, calming, secure. He is the Prince of Peace. LORD, please give us your sustaining peace in this our day. Please bring peace to this nation. Please bring peace to Jerusalem.
