Let Jesus open the book to you.

Luke 4:16 So He came to Nazareth, where He had been brought up. And as His custom was, He went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and stood up to read.

17And He was handed the book of the prophet Isaiah. And when He had opened the book, He found the place where it was written:

Jesus returns to His hometown. As a law abiding Jew, He went into the congregation of believers. This time was unique however, He takes the role of a teacher & stands to read the text. He opens the book of Isaiah, precisely goes to a specific text, just as a sniper's rifles precision rather than a shotgun hoping to hit anything. His word is right on time, to the point, and thought out. I love how He will open His word to us. Oh LORD, please open & reveal Your holy word to me today. Please take me straight to what I need to be sustained. You have the words of life. Amen.
