Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.


Not the beginning of God, but to the beginning of this universe. In one sentence, God creates time, space, & matter. Since God is outside of the time boundries, we are not told when or how He came about. That there is mind boggling. The hebrew word for create is bara. It means to make out of nothing, or no pre existant materials. The other hebrew word for create is asa, to make from pre-existant materials, such as a contractor would do to build a home. This creation is all God. The design is all His. That which we see, He made. His design speaks volumes about Him.
