love abounding

Philippians 1:3 I thank my God upon every remembrance of you,

The church in Philippi had to be some kind of church. They were small yet was the only ones who actually took up an offering for Paul, not once, but up to 5 times. They left Paul with a sense of worth and value. They ministered to him when he was at his low, due to standing up for the gospel. This example of a church, I have found to be extremely rare. There are a lot of churches, doing a lot of things right, but few that entirely exemplify Christ in the few things they can do. Love abounded in the church at philippi! It was birthed out of sacrifical love. It held true to its roots. You cant force yourself to be grateful at every rememberance of someone unless you are! Everyone should take careful note and examine the Lord who built this church and how they responded to Jesus.
