Love is an order.

John 15:17 These things I command you, that you love one another

Jesus says it is a command to love. This may seem dictatorial however look deeper into this command. As disciples of Christ, we voluntarily submit to Jesus as LORD. In light of this, its a simple order for the betterment of the team as a whole. Chain of command and trusting those above you (this case Jesus) could be key to your well being and those among your team. Jesus commands us to love over hate. To me, its not by force, but a willing desire to love because I've been radically changed by His love. He first loved us. Anything less, at any point in life, is not acceptable. His unconditional love changes mans hatefilled hearts. Hate is never an option except when its sin or ungodliness. Interestingly, man often chooses to love what he should hate and hate what he is called to love in this twisted world.
