Making lemonade from lemons.
Jeremiah 24:5“Thus says the LORD, the God of Israel: ‘Like these good figs, so will I acknowledge those who are carried away captive from Judah, whom I have sent out of this place for their own good, into the land of the Chaldeans.
6 For I will set My eyes on them for good, and I will bring them back to this land; I will build them and not pull them down, and I will plant them and not pluck them up.
7 Then I will give them a heart to know Me, that I am the LORD; and they shall be My people, and I will be their God, for they shall return to Me with their whole heart.
The basket of good figs represent those of Judah that heed Gods word. They acknowledge their error and begin to believe His word. I mean, all this is hopeful, positive, wonderful promises. They shall return to the Lord with their whole hearts. Just repent and start walking in His word. There is a saying, you made your bed now lay in it. But factor Gods grace and a repentant heart, things can turn for the better. We dont deserve His goodness. However, we can repent and get on the same page as our Lord. Oh what marvelous wonders God can do in that culture. Ive met men who, while being incarcerated because of their crimes, met Christ while in prison, thanked the Lord for opening their eyes to their errors. Understanding that getting caught was a tool God used to wake them up.
