Name change, why?

Genesis 17:4“As for Me, behold, My covenant is with you, and you shall be a father of many nations.

5 “No longer shall your name be called Abram, but your name shall be Abraham; for I have made you a father of many nations.

6 “I will make you exceedingly fruitful; and I will make nations of you, and kings shall come from you.

Abram went from being a father of many to a father of many nations. Yet, he only had Ishmael at this point. God, how will this happen? Im 99! The promised son is yet to be given. He probably felt embarrassed at his name and now his name is even worse if you look at current circumstances. "Hey Abraham, how many children you have?" In a mocking nature. The world is cruel. BUT God is awesome and amazing! You can take His word and trust it everytime. We dont have to explain the how God will do what He said, just believe Him. He works in the realm of the impossibility. If He says it, it will happen.
