Old Fashioned Preaching

Acts 2:22 Men of Israel, hear these words: Jesus of Nazareth, a Man attested by God to you by miracles, wonders, and signs which God did through Him in your midst, as you yourselves also know—23 Him, being delivered by the determined purpose and foreknowledge of God, you have taken by lawless hands, have crucified, and put to death; 24 whom God raised up, having loosed the pains of death, because it was not possible that He should be held by it.

What a preaching start by Peter! Oh what being filled with the Spirit will do in a weak, frail, shy person. Peter starts out solid. All pointing to Jesus! This is the key to sound preaching! We are not the emphasis except the fact that our sin put Jesus on the cross. And about that, He willingly took our sin & shame, became sin for us that we might become the righteousness of God. Everything Jesus did, everything Jesus said, fulfilled holy scripture and proved He alone is the Messiah. Oh and, "it was impossible" that death and grave should hold Jesus! The sinless Lamb of God couldn't suffer corruption! Preach Christ!
