Once dead but now alive

Colossians 2:13–14 And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses, having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross.

"And you" is very important. We were spiritually dead! No life, dead men walking. Enemies of God. But God. He forgave us. I believe this is mans greatest need, to receive Gods forgiveness. We carried so much unneeded baggage. Jesus wiped it away. He nailed our sin upon the cross. He took the sin of the world upon Him as He hung on the cross, for us! We have been freed to live.
