Origins of prophecy

2 Peter 1:21 for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.

Gods word never originated from men. Men would never come up with these truths even if he could. It takes Gods revelation, enlightenment, His Spirit, to bring us to these truths. Peter says here, "holy men of God", meaning those who have been set apart unto God. The LORD doesnt cast His perils out among swine. We must accept the calling of God to come to Him, receive His instructions, walk in His word. There is this world, with all its acedemia, all its history, all its glamour, BUT the there is Jesus! I choose Jesus. Who gives truth, the way, and the life.
