Peace or fear?

Colossians 3:15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful.


What shall rule our hearts? Not emotion, or wants, dreams, or passions. Having the peace of God. Rule here carries the idea of an umpire. That Gods peace calls the shots of right and wrong. I have made and still make decisions only later to discover Gods peace isnt upon me. I toss and turn over my often quick decision. Yet its then, thankfully by the Spirit illuminating this, I set out to right the ship for say. Gods peace is everything to me. He has kept me out of some bad trouble by resting in His peace. I have found, the world is very chaotic around me yet His peace settles me. My gratitude has increased due to this peace of God in my life. What have we to fear, since God be for us, who than can be against us?
