Personal responsibility

Philippians 2:4 Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others.

I would assume this isnt a real issue, yet it is. Most people look out for only their interests. Yet, they totally miss their own interests. We must be responsible and healthy. I need to be doing the things that truly make me spiritually healthy, such as being in His word, prayer, & fellowship. Then and only then will I be healthy enough to reach others. I need to get there if Im not yet. The Lord reveals to me that His desire is to reach others. Show me one who is given over to others by laying their own life down and I will show you a mature person who typically is doing his things right in his/her own life. Cant give what you dont have. Step 1, its in my best interest to seek the Lord. Step 2, it in others best interest for me to point others to Jesus, as I follow Jesus.
