Peter, will you stop the enemies attacks?

John 18:10 Then Simon Peter, having a sword, drew it and struck the high priest’s servant, and cut off his right ear. The servant’s name was Malchus.

11 So Jesus said to Peter, “Put your sword into the sheath. Shall I not drink the cup which My Father has given Me?”

Peters best attempt to defend Jesus! He pulls his knife out only gets an ear of a servant? Not good Peter! It will never look good as we seek to divert what is destined to happen. I realize now, no political side will stop evil. They both are corrupted thus neither will bring in righteousness, however I believe there are good leaders who mean well. They just cant make a meaningful change. I realize it will only be Jesus who will usher in righteousness, no courts nor political party can stop. It is Christs kingdom I will put my trust and energy into. Now, I will remain doing my civic duty, vote according to biblical morals, yet my eyes remain fixed on Jesus! Shall peter or I even, stop the Fathers will? Why would any want to? Every man will be held accountable for his own actions.
