Power over sin?

Mark 2:9 Which is easier, to say to the paralytic, ‘Your sins are forgiven you,’ or to say, ‘Arise, take up your bed and walk? 10 But that you may know that the Son of Man has power on earth to forgive sins”—He said to the paralytic, 11 “I say to you, arise, take up your bed, and go to your house.” 12 Immediately he arose, took up the bed, and went out in the presence of them all, so that all were amazed and glorified God, saying, “We never saw anything like this!”

They accused Jesus of having no power to forgive sin. Only God can! Added bonus for this man, Jesus proves He has power over sin and disease by healing him immediately. Now, He isnt obligated to do so! The greatest need was fixed 1st, this mans seperation from God due to sin. If Jesus doesnt do anything else for us, this side of eternity, He has done enough. The glorified body is coming, that even a healed patched up body pails in comparison too. I have known the Lord to go above and beyond what I say or think, He knows better for me than I know for myself. This mans sins are forgiven and he is mobile! Wow! Im not just getting by in this life, His blessings often are amazingly beyond what I would even ever ask or think without my heart being covetous. I find out, oh Lord, that hot rod car isnt at all what I needed to be happy. My simple honda that faithfully gets me around, well wonderful, though it cant lay down any rubber. God has given me many of my desires but Ive come to just want Him more than anything else really!
