Phil 3:12 Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me.

From the moment Christ got our hearts, He steered our lives. He has apprehended us. We however, will spend a lifetime apprehending Him. I have not come close to being perfected, fully matured. I have come a very long way. How will we get there? Only by pressing into kingdom living. It can be a grind! Righteous living wont come easy. You must prepare, train, condition yourself daily by denying your flesh, picking up your cross, and following Jesus. The only way to have that drive, to press in, is if Im aware I have a long way to go. Years ago, George Bush celebrated winning the war by having the slogan, "mission accomplished", it was far from. The worst thing to happen to star athletes, often times, is when they receive their big paydays at contract years. There is little left to prove, nothing to achieve or work hard for. The Lord isnt making us compete for Him yet I do think there is a good place to walk this christian walk with a chip on your shoulder. You are in a war with an enemy that continually lies on you, GET INTO THE FIGHT and dont give up at all. Show the world there is something worth fighting for that wont disappoint, unlike politics, religion, ect.
