sow in tears, reap in joy.

Psalm 126:5 Those who sow in tears Shall reap in joy. 6 He who continually goes forth weeping, Bearing seed for sowing, Shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, Bringing his sheaves with him.

Oh what a glorious promise of the LORD. Sowing is never easy. Its hard work. The soil needs prepared. You sow a little ol seed while looking at a picture of the mature plant and its fresh luscious fruit. I recently have taken up a garden. I didnt cry, but I sweat and paid more than I ever wanted to, for dirt they say was cheap. Lies! I want to see an instant harvest. Nope. But now, two weeks into it, Im seeing the sprouts. The excitement I had over a little bitty tinsy weensy sprout! Its better than gold in my opinion. Fruit is still far off, but I feel it will appear sooner than later. When I get my first fruits, it really doesnt matter what it is, it will be so delightful and I will enjoy every bite. Now, spiritually, its difficult sowing Gods word to a hard hearted world at times yet the reward of reaping the harvest of souls, the power of Gods Spirit displayed, oh what joy.
