Stand Your Ground

2 Thes 2:15 Therefore, brethren, stand fast and hold the traditions which you were taught, whether by word or our epistle.


As a christian, I must stand firm on some things. Nonnegotiables. The alternative is to fall for everything. What things? Well, Im to stand for the things of Gods word. Primarly, the things in which Gods word clearly teaches. This means, I must study His word. I also must be an active participant of His word. Be a doer of the word not just a hearer. I have found, over the years, it is so easy to twist the word to make it conform to our agendas. That is not standing firm on the word. Eph 6:7 tells us to put on the full armor of God in order to withstand the enemies attacks. Mens traditions are helpless but Gods commands are life.
