This is the nutrients facts list for the world, if you will. This is all it has to offer you. Every bit of the worlds enticements fall under 1 of these 3. Lust is never satisfied. Pride brings us down. That which we lust after, we can never attain. Only a life truly offered up to the LORD in worship will ever be complete, whole, satisfied, & content. I recall my days before Christ, how miserable they were, how uninspiring, how unsatisfied I was as I ran after riches, caught up in the stampede of this worlds enticements. BUT then the Fathers love was revealed to me thru Jesus. As I spent time in His word, all I chased after in this world became clear to me. This world was a leech sucking me lifeless. Jesus allowed me to break from these chains! Im not saying, as of today, I dont fall prey to this worlds enticements but I can say, He is faithful to reveal them to me when I do. LORD, open the eyes of my heart to more of You!
