Suprise, twins!

The LORD speaks to Rebekah, Isaacs wife, your having twins and they are both two nations, in your womb! Wow.


Genesis 25:23 And the LORD said to her:

“Two nations are in your womb,

Two peoples shall be separated from your body; One people shall be stronger than the other, And the older shall serve the younger.”


Amazing prophecy here. Esau & Jacob. Esau, a man of the flesh. Jacob, the line of the Messiah, the promise. Jacob is the younger, but respected the birthright were as Esau only wanted what benefited him. This conflict between the two continues all the way to the time of Christ' birth, herods ruled over the descendants of Jacob. More like bullying their agendas over them. Meanwhile, the Messiah is born, being raised and executing the Fathers plan. The flesh appears as an inflated, huge nation, & true many are part of it, but the Spirit is so much greater, enduring, and will stand the test of time. I wonder if Rebekah ever had an idea just how much struggle these 2, in her womb, would fight each other? They battled in the womb, how do you break that up?
