Sweet Redemption

Psalm 74:2 Remember Your congregation, which You have purchased of old,

The tribe of Your inheritance, which You have redeemed—

Remember! The LORD remembers our smallest concerns as well as the greatest. The psalmist pleads for the LORD to remember His people who gather unto Him. Which He purchased! Which He redeemed! What foresight here. Jesus had not come yet to do so. The path to the cross was already in motion. He alone, is the only One who is worthy to redeem us. This will be the theme of our song to Him after the rapture, while in heaven, Revelation 5. From every tribe, tongue, and nation. Only the Holy Spirit could reveal this to the psalmist here.
