The blessed path

1 Blessed is the man Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful.

Notice the degression here. First, he walks, then stands, and finally sits. The path of sin will demobilize us. We are to walk worthy of the calling in which we are called. Sin takes us further than we want to go, keeps us longer than we want to stay, and will cost us more than we want to pay. Blessed is the man who walks in righteousness.
