To the glory of you or Him?

Matthew 6:4 that your charitable deed may be in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will Himself reward you openly.

Its a strong desire of our flesh & ego, to want recognition for things we do that are good. Politicians are constantly billboarding what they do. Its just natural. Yet, Jesus says, do those good deeds anonymously and your heavenly Father will reward you publicly. Basically, do those deeds unto the LORD knowing that its really the LORD enabling you to do those deeds. He doesnt have to reward you but He loves to reward real humility. When I see a person walking in the grace and blessing of the LORD, I know there is a lot of behind the scences deeds being done and the Father cant but pour out His blessing upon them. Basically, do you want to recognize yourself or do you want God to recognize you? Im choosing God.
