Wait for the promise!

Acts 1:4 And being assembled together with them, He commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the Promise of the Father, “which,” He said, “you have heard from Me; 5 for John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.”

I dislike waiting! When I get an idea, when I come up with a plan, when I see something I have to have, I dont like to wait. But thats the flesh! Rush rush, hurry hurry, obtain now! But, there is a perfect time not to wait, like receiving salvation or doing righteousness! Truely, good things come to those who wait upon the Lord. Waiting upon Gods timing has burnt out a lot of selfishness in me through the years. God will out wait you! The process of our sanctification is far more important to God than our tempral pleasure or comfort. Every promise, excluding salvation, involves waiting. Abraham & Sarah waited 25 years for Isaac! After 15, they tried to help God out, since God must of forgotten. Ishmael was the result and last time I checked, them two are still having problems 4000 plus years later. Now, this waiting time is not idle time. Its time building trust, communication, confidence, and much more in the Lord. I have fully embraced my calling to be a waiter! I know more now than ever, Im not ready for whats ahead until I fellowship with the Father more! When Im ready, He will gush forth the promise to overflowing limits! Oh, Father, I wait on You, Your plans, Your timing!
