We must confess our sin

Genesis 3:12 Then the man said, “The woman whom You gave to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I ate.”

13 And the LORD God said to the woman, “What is this you have done?” The woman said, “The serpent deceived me, and I ate.”

This is the perfect picture of shifting blame. God goes to Adam, he blames God and his wife. God goes to Eve, she blamed the serpent. Where is personal responsibility? Owning up to our sin. Sin will always seek to shift blame on others. 1 John tells us, if we confess our sin, He is faithfull and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If I have been found to have sin, I must own it but confess it unto the LORD. He will wash it away then. This isnt a one time occurance, but a day by day work.
